Our story
Born from Norway's marine heritage.
Havdis was founded on the Norwegian west coast by a team of researchers and entrepreneurs who saw untapped potential in a resource Norway already had in abundance: Atlantic cod. Rather than treating fisheries byproducts as waste, we set out to prove they could be the source of a high-value, scientifically credible bioactive for the cosmetic and skincare industry.

We want Havdis to be the trusted supplier of choice for brands looking to bring PDRN into their formulations — and to prove that a premium marine bioactive can be sourced responsibly, at scale, from Norway's existing fisheries value chain rather than in competition with it.

Our production process was developed in collaboration with Nofima, one of the world's leading marine research institutes. Every improvement to our extraction and purification process is grounded in research, not guesswork.

Our process
From vessel to finished bioactive.
Raw material is hand-sourced from MSC-certified Northeast Arctic cod landed at Senja, then carefully extracted and purified into a stable, cosmetic-grade PDRN powder in Tromsø. Traceability is maintained at every step, from the vessel that caught the fish through to the finished ingredient that reaches our brand partners.
Quality assurance

Our bioactive is developed and tested under strict Norwegian standards, compliant with GMP for cosmetic ingredients. Every batch ships with a European-accredited third-party certificate of analysis, so formulation partners can rely on a well-documented, batch-consistent ingredient.
