Back at Bryggeriet Student Incubator, this time on stage as one of 10 companies.
A year ago I was part of this community myself, about to start out as a student founder. Yesterday we pitched Havdis AS in front of a room full of founders, students, investors and people who care about building cool things in Western Norway.
My competitive instinct was there, but something in me felt that the placing didn't matter that much this time.
The coolest part was seeing what is happening in Bergen right now.
A new generation of founders is emerging. Students who don't just talk about ideas, but build. Test. Fail. Learn. Get back up. And dare to show their projects before everything is perfect.
That is exactly how strong founder communities are built.
Not by one startup.
Not by one single incubator.
Not by one single investor.
But by many people pulling in the same direction.
In a short time, Bryggeriet Student Incubator has become an important meeting place for entrepreneurship at Kristiania and in Bergen. For Havdis, this community has been an important part of the journey, and it was powerful to stand there yesterday and see how much energy, talent and drive to create there is in this city.
A big thank you to Bryggeriet, VIS - Vestlandets Innovasjonsselskap and GründerCampus for creating meeting places like this.
And congratulations to everyone who pitched. It takes courage to go on stage and share something you are building.
Bergen needs more arenas like this.
Western Norway needs more young founders who dare to create jobs. And Norway needs more people who dare to start before they feel ready.
Something is happening here now.
And we have to keep building on it. 🚀
